Flower Girl

My beautiful baby is all ready for Christmas with her cute poinsettia. You can't tell from this picture, but her hair is finally starting to grow, she has a good bit of fuzz up on top!

Snow is Here!

It finally snowed! I was beginning to worry about a white Christmas! Bella went out and made snow angels while Dad shoveled.

Genevieve stayed in with Mom and showed off her new trick.

She has discovered that she has lips and likes to hide them in her mouth. I like it best when she puts both of them in.

After a second dance performance, we went to the ward party and a special guest was there. Bella was very excited to see Santa.

Elves at Gardner Village

We went to check out the elves at Gardner Village today. Bella wouldn't admit it, but I think she was afraid of them. This was about as close as she would get.

She wasn't afraid of this goose (or is it a duck?) and was even closer before I could get the camera out!

Marshmallow World

Bella's winter dance recital was today. I loved her cute costume.

She danced to Marshmallow World and did a great job!

What a ballerina!

Her favorite part was seeing Sam after the performance!

Swiss Christmas

In my endless quest for things for us to do on Friday, I ran across the Swiss Christmas in Midway. I don't know what I was expecting, but it was very apparent once we got there, not many from out of town attend this event. They had a fun gingerbread display and Bella even frosted her own gingerbread boy. This is my favorite house in Midway done in gingerbread, you could even look in the windows and there was stuff inside!

They also had a display of over 700 nativities. It was even set up one that you could have your picture taken in. They tried to convince Bret and I to be Mary and Joseph and June the Baby Jesus. We politely declined and opted to be shepherds and a lamb. (June was not happy about the hat at all!) Bella made a beautiful angel.

Festival of Trees

We went with Grandma Pattie, Aunt Katie and Becca to the Festival of Trees. I love the Festival. I always went with one of my oldest friends, Suzanne when I was younger. Her mom was the chairwoman and we would help out before the Festival opened. It would be so cool once everything was set up, they would turn out all the lights and see all the Christmas Trees glow.

This year was a little bittersweet. I think I cried a lot more. I am so grateful my baby's heart problems were not serious and I feel for those children who are in Primary's.
I thought this blown glass tree was very neat.

Bella loved the Gingerbread Castle.

Bella was excited to tell Santa what she wants for Christmas.

June was very brave too.

The kids area was a hit with Bella. We made reindeer ears, fished, had a manicure, made a reindeer spoon, a pom-pom butterfly and painted an ornament. (Who needs trees when you can do crafts?)

Bella was excited to see the Nutcracker Tree and the nutcracker just like hers. We have been listening to the music and learning the story so we can go see the ballet next year.

I thought this tree was great, mostly because I wish I was in Hawaii right now. Before Bret and I were married, I went to Hawaii with my parents and younger sisters to see my younger brother graduate from BYU Hawaii. It was such a fun trip, I hope we can go back in December again someday!

Lights at Temple Square

For Family Home Evening, we decided it was a nice night to see the lights at Temple Square. Bella liked the pink lights and the water fountains.




Mom was a little ridiculous in bundling up June, but she looked very cute in her bunting.

The temple was beautiful, it was great to see the lights without it being freezing our too crowded.
