Baby Animals
Tuesday, October 20, 2009
While we had Grandma Chris in town, we headed up to the zoo with her. We were very excited to see the baby elephant. She was so cute!
For the first time, Bella was brave enough to sit on the elephant's trunk!
June wasn't so brave of the rhino statue.
Bella picked out this little spot for a picture.
The baby giraffe was very cute too. She stayed with her Mama who has helping her eat. Bella noticed there was on giraffe on her own. She told me that it was the big sister giraffe who liked to have a little privacy sometimes. Do you think she means anything by that?
June once again not happy about the animal statues. We saw the baby tigers, but I couldn't get a picture of them. They are getting big!
Bella loves the carousel and likes the peacock. She waves at everyone like she is on a float. June was not happy about the situation. Just after this we decided she wasn't feeling well and took her home, poor little thing!
On the way out, we happened upon this owl. Bella was very excited to see it and take her picture with it.
Family Party
Sunday, October 18, 2009
We had my family over for a Halloween/ Birthday party. (We missed you Heather and family!) I wanted to play a bunch of traditional Halloween games and my nieces and nephews were great sports! We started off with a relay race, those never seem to work as planned. Then, it was downstairs for eat the donut off the string.
Yes, that is my older brother getting in on the action!
Like father, like son!
The kids had to try and suck up creepy shaped things with a straw and put them in a pile. They tried, but I think it would have been better if I had used thinner paper.
At least they all seemed to have a good time unwrapping the mummy ball!
Katie made this darling cake! We were celebrating the birthdays of Caroline, Madi, Bella and me!
Meg's Wedding
Thursday, October 8, 2009
Meg's cute cousin Meg got married in Logan this weekend. Bret and I left the girls with my parents and headed up for a fun little weekend away. We stopped at Maddox on the way up, always a great choice and then had a little Aggie Ice Cream.
The wedding was at the Logan Temple the next morning. Meg looked beautiful!
It was neat to see the Logan Temple, I had never been there before. I wish we could have spent a little more time there.
And this is one of my favorite pictures, Bret's two Uncles comparing cameras! It is too funny if you know them!
