Wednesday, August 26, 2009
Bret built the girls a sandbox at the beginning of the summer and the girls have had a great time playing in it.

June seems to eat more sand than she should!Bella loves making castles and fairy cookies!
The day the sand box was finished Bella told her Dad, "This is the best day of my life!"

Work Camp Out

Bret's work had a camp out up American Fork Canyon. We elected not to sleep over this year, but headed up for a BBQ. Bella loved playing with all the kids. June said the food was excellent!

The Slide

Thursday, August 20, 2009
It has been a big summer for us with regards to the pool! After much coaxing, Bella has decided to take off her life jacket. She has turned into a great little swimmer.

It took even longer to get her to go down the slide. I tried every bribe I could think of, you name it, it was promised to her, nothing worked. Finally, one day some friends were over swimming with us. The older brother got her to try out the ladder and then said "Look it is just one more step, just try it." And Bella did! After that, she was hooked! Thanks Devin, you helped make it a great summer!

New Outfit

Wednesday, August 19, 2009
June is thrilled with her new outfit from Aunt Kristie. She has been walking around holding up the shirt and showing it too people. And of course, she never lets the doggie out of her sight!

Happy Birthday June

Tuesday, August 18, 2009
Happy Birthday Genevieve June! I can hardly believe my baby is already one. It has been such a fun year with you, it is hard to imagine our family with out you. June is such a happy little thing, just along for the ride, but don't leave her behind. She loves to sing and dance, especially when Bella is. Actually, June loves to try and do anything Bella is doing. She especially loves to snuggle with Dad in the big bed, this only happens when she is supposed to be asleep in her own bed. June will eat almost anything, but vegetables are her favorite. She loves to run and play and dogs are definitely her favorite. Happy Birthday Little One. We Love You!

June's Birthday!

What a fun day to celebrate! We started out opening presents first thing!
It is good to have a big sister to show you the ropes! And try out your new toys first!
June's favorite was the doggie. It barks and wags its tail at her. She loves to kiss it on the nose!
In the afternoon, it was time for her party over at the pool. We tried to get a picture of the 3 birthday babies. Zoe, was busy being silly with her tongue, June was not too happy. good old Cooper, he just hung out with this cute smile for about 5 shots! We'll have to try again to get them all!
The Party Girl!
Grandpa DeYoung
Grandma Chris sharing her snow cone!Aunt Janine kept June happy and eating my dinner so she could party all night!
Carrying on tradition, Dad made her cake. It is her cute little doggie.
June was a little uncertain what to do at first. Good thing there are big girls around to show her what to do!
She figured it out and loved the cake!Me and my Grandpa, Par.
After cake, Zoe helped June open her presents. She knew what to do, hand Mom the card and rip the paper. June loved her tea set (great minds think alike, she got 3 of them!)!
Good helper, Zoe, still being silly with her tongue!
June got tired of opening presents and decided to stand on her head!
The kids all had a great time playing in the pool. Thanks to great uncles who aren't afraid to get in and play hard with the kids and keep them entertained! June decided she was more of a hot tub kind of girl, with Grandma Pattie. What a fun day!

Back To School Dip

We celebrated the 1st Day of School with a little swim party. These are the girls in our neighborhood that are in Bella's class. What a silly bunch!

1st Day of School

Bella was very excited for her 1st day of school. She picked out this Hello Kitty outfit to match her backpack! She is very excited about her new school and teacher, Miss Michelle! Here's to a great new year!

Zoe Zoe

Saturday, August 15, 2009

Happy Birthday Zoe! Look at this beautiful girl! We had a great time at her party, playing in the sand, chalking and playing on the playground! Zoe was so funny with her cake, it looked like a sand castle, and she wasn't sure if she should eat it. Everything she does is dainty!

June is getting teeth so she is not looking too happy.

We love you Zoe! Happy 1st Birthday!

80's Bella

Sunday, August 9, 2009
Bret asked me if I was trying to bring back the 80's when he saw this outfit. I think it is adorable!

Cooper Pics

Saturday, August 8, 2009
Bret took Cooper's pictures for his 1st Birthday. This is my favorite one of the whole group. He is such a cute little guy! You have to check out the rest on fliker, especially notice how his shoes match his shirt!
The little girls played at the park while they were waiting, June thinks this is a really bad idea!

Yes, that is my Bella jumping to Uncle Paul, while her mom's heart was stopping! Little daredevils, good thing Uncle Paul is around!

Cabin Fun

Friday, August 7, 2009
Mike and Susan invited us up to their cabin to spend the evening up in the hills. We found this great dinosaur along the way and Bella of course wanted a picture! June never wants anything to do with these sorts of things.

We tried to talk Bella into riding a 4-wheeler, but she wouldn't have any of it. She did love splashing in the stream and looking for water fairies.
I put June's feet in and she was not too happy. She preferred to stay on Daddy's shoulders as far as possible from the water!

She did try her first corn on the cob and loved it!
Bella was very excited about cooking smores. This was her kind of party, lots of grown-ups and only 3 kids! She loved running from one person to the next and she talked and talked and talked, without mom asking her to just be quiet for one minute!

Snuggling with Lori.
Mom and June by the fire. Thanks again Mike and Susan, we had a great time!
