We just returned from Disneyland! We had a great time with the girls! More pictures and highlites to come!

Disneyland Day 5

Wednesday, April 21, 2010
Our last day, we have done everything, so we just did our favorites! Junie insisted on wearing her Minnie Mouse costume again.

She was so funny every time we went through one of the gates, she insisted on getting a map. Then she would open it up and read it!

Our last chance for Pixie Hollow. Bella peeked in and saw blue! Silvermist was finally there. She ran to the line exclaiming this was the best day of her life. She was so excited and had all these questions and things to say to her fairy hero.

We headed into Pixie Hollow, and Bella waited for the group in front of us to finish up. Just then, out came Fawn and we noticed Silvermist leaving. Bella started crying as her hero left right in front of her. It was so sad. I think she was the first kid ever to leave Pixie Hollow crying because she couldn't see Silvermist.

She put on a brave face for Tinkerbell, while I found out when Silvermist would be back. They rushed out a pin to Bella from Silvermist to tell her she was so sorry that she had to go and hoped to meet her later. Bella and Dad went to Space Mountain to cheer her up and I promised we would come back.

Finally, Silvermist! Bella was so excited, she could hardly talk!

Tinkerbell again. This was old hat to June by now. She immediately just got down for the picture!

We hit almost every ride in Tomorrowland, Junie liked the rockets, anything with Daddy is great!

Thunder Mountain!

The brave roller coaster riders!

We made Bella try the pirate ride again. She didn't cover her eyes this time, but she still didn't love it. I tried to bribe her with anything in the world to pose with these pirates, but she was not about to get close! She stayed a good distance away and always behind Mom and Dad!

Junie went on the Pooh bear ride a couple of times and then went to meet the Bear. She really liked him.

Hugs for Tigger!

Everyone loves Tigger!

Mom tried to the mouse ears hat picture.

Hands down, our favorite ride! June would tell us over and over she want the boats!

June says this is fun! She was a pretty big fan of the tea cups and Dumbo.

Spinning it fast!

Goofing off in the tea cups. Mom wanted to try to see the parade, but it was pretty much canceled because of the weather. We just ended up finishing up on Small World and Space Mountain a few more times.

The End! Believe it or not, these are just the highlites. I think this was our best trip to Disneyland yet! We had a great time and I can't wait to go back!

Disneyland Day 4

Tuesday, April 20, 2010
A Junie morning! Bella picked that we should go on Small world first for June and then the carousel.
Junie on Jingles.

The tea cups and for once, the Alice ride wasn't broken!

June loved the Jungle Cruise, Bella did not. The piranhas scared her to tears! It was bad enough that the ride operator had to comment on it. We decided to try our luck in California Adventure!

June fell asleep so Bella went on Mulholland Madness until her parents could no longer take it. Then we tried the Jumping Jelly Fish. We found these two bears roaming the park. After, the Toy Store Ride. We woke up June and had a great time on it. We finished just in time for lunch with the Princesses!
The Mermaid- the only princess June knows to call something besides princess.
Snow White

Princess June

Sleeping Beauty

Bella's favorite, Mulan! (Yeah, the only princess we haven't met in all our trips to Disneyland! Now we don't have to stand in line at the Fantasy Fair!) Bella was very excited about Mulan.
Cinderella
After, we did all the little rides in Bug's Life before it started to rain. Then it really started coming down. Thank goodness I had the ponchos. (We bought ponchos 5 years ago in Disneyland and I have brought them on every trip ever since. I refuse to spend the money on ponchos ever again!) Since it was pouring rain, it cleared out both parks and we went to Fantasyland!

After, Thunder Mountain Railroad!

We headed back to the hotel to dry off and get warm after this. We cam back and Mom and June staked out a spot early for the fireworks while Dad and Bella did rides, mostly Space Mountain. She was holding her arms up the whole time by now. The fireworks were awesome! A great way to end the evening at the park. And of course Junie was asleep before we hit our hotel again!

Disneyland Day 3

Day 3

Once again, early over to the park. June would wake up early and start calling until we got her out of her bed. Then, she would climb into her stroller, ready to go! We were there before the park opened to we got some fun pictures in the plaza.

Silly Bella!

I like these reflection pictures! June danced and danced around waiting for the park to open!

The flowers were beautiful this time of year. I have never seen the park looking so beautiful.
We had tickets to Morning Madness in Toon Town so we headed there after a quick visit with Pluto.
The characters put on a little show and then you could walk around and meet them. It was the only way to see Toon Town, there was hardly anyone there. Bella ran on the Gadget Coaster 4 times in a row! June just looked around and had fun with the characters. She was very excited to meet Minnie Mouse!
Two Minnie Mouses!
This was the first character June went up to by herself and stayed with. She loved getting a little hug from Chip.
After Small World, we went back to the carousel. Bella is on Jingles. This is the horse from Mary Poppins and also has hidden Mickey's on the front!
No Silvermist in Pixie Hollow again, but we did meet Terrance. Lots of Disney fun, especially Thunder Mountain railroad and Splash Mountain! We convinced Bella to try Space Mountain again with Mom. She decided that she loved it and wanted to keep going! She and Dad headed right back on! Then it was her favorite ride! That was it for the night! Little Junie was asleep before we left the park and didn't wake up all night long!

Disneyland Day 2

Day 2 with the Mouse!
We woke up and before she was even dressed, June was in her stroller ready to go! We went over to the park as fast as we could and found characters just as we walked in!
Donald Duck is one of June's favorites, but still not ready to stand with him by herself!

Goofy was a little big! But still she handed him her book.

Pluto got a few laughs, she is warming up to these characters.

We headed into Fantasyland and there was no one there! We managed to get in Dumbo, the teacups, Pinocchio, Mr. Toad and the carousel really fast. Who would have thought early Sunday morning would be slow at Disneyland. Dumbo and the teacups were Junie's favorites!
Into Pixie Hollow next, Silvermist was not there, but the girls did meet Tinkerbell.

On our way to Thunder Mountain, we even saw Pocahontas! We did everything in adventureland, including Thunder Mountain a few times. Junie loved the Pooh bear ride. Splash Mountain is always fun too! Then, the pirate ride, Bella hated it and made me cover her eyes the whole time again. I guess Dad will have to work on that one with her. Junie fell asleep so he headed over to California Adventure. It was packed over there. We didn't find out until later that it was the last night of the Electric Parade so there were a lot of people there to see it.
Bella and I ended up soaked on the Grizzly rapids! She didn't want to try it again with Dad, so it was off to Playhouse Disney for Junie. She loved it! She was in awe, seeing her favorites! We decided it was time to leave the park for a little bit and head to dinner at Outback. After, we headed back to Disneyland for a bit. More Thunder Mountain and Small World. It took some bribing, but we convinced Bella to try Space Mountain with dad. She said it was fun, but didn't want to go again with Mom. We ended up back at the hotel early, no one wanted to see the 10:30 showing of the Electric Parade. The girls were out before we knew it, nothing like a good day running around Disneyland to tire them out!

Disneyland Day 1

Disneyland!
I love Disneyland! It brings back so many fun memories for me and the kids love it! We headed out early Saturday morning to drive to California. My kids are champs in the car. We made 2 stops where they got out the whole way down! We made it to the hotel and June immediately knew something was up. I don't know if it was the pictures of Mickey in the hotel room, but she was excited. Before I could even get us settled in, she had climbed into her stroller and was ready to go!
Even though we knew it was busy, we headed over to the park. We tried for a picture out front, but the girls were anxious to head in!
June checked out the map, while Mom picked up autograph books.

Then it was straight to the Small World ride. June was a little nervous at first, but soon loved it!
Afterwards, we decided to try and see Mickey. There wasn't much of a line so we headed in. June loved looking around his house, from a distance. Then we watched the movies and soon, the big Mouse himself. Bella ran right up to him, but June was a little leery. She eventually handed him her book to sign. (I think part of the problem is this weird Steamboat Willy outfit they have him wear. We just need the normal Mickey!) She warmed up to him and was pretty excited. Everything seemed pretty crowded, but we decided to brave the line for the Matterhorn since it would be closed for the rest of our trip. Bret and Bella tried it and she hated it. Eventually, I convinced her to try it with me. (Thank goodness for switch passes.) We got on the ride, buckled in and just as the ride headed into the mountain, she decided to bolt. She jumped up and said "I'm not doing this!" I managed to hold her down as the ride operated is running for the emergency stop. We got her situated and took off again, but I did have to hold her tight. She was so upset she made me hold my hands over her eyes for the entire ride. She will never go on it again!
After that, we walked by Pixie Hollow. Bella's favorite place!
There were no fairies, but the girls had so much fun climbing on mushrooms and posing on flowers.
They peeked into Tinkerbell's teapot house, but they couldn't see her.
After that, the girls were so tired! We headed back to the hotel for a good night's sleep. What a fun start to our vacation!
