Spa Days

Friday, February 26, 2010
Bret gave me a manicure and pedicure for my birthday and I finally went to use it. I took Bella with me and we had a great time.
They treated Bella like a princess, giving her lots of extra attention.

I am sure it was not easy to paint these nails, but they sure turned out fancy.
She was especially thrilled with the blue sparkly toes. It was sure fun to relax and spend the morning being pampered with my little sweetheart!

Snow White

Monday, February 22, 2010
June loves to dress up. Right now she loves to bring me her Snow White dress.
Once she gets it on she tells everyone she is fancy. She also loves the hat and it is always her idea to put it on.
Just another girlie princess!

Happy Birthday Daddy

Sunday, February 21, 2010
Today is Bret's birthday. Bella was very excited of course. Especially because she knew he was getting a new nintendo ds that she could play. She picked out this fabulous chicken shot game for him.
June was so cute. She watched the presents being given and open. She left and went into our room. She found a present on the floor that was meant for my niece. It had been there for almost two months waiting for me to get it in the mail to her. She brought it out and gave it to Daddy saying, "I do. I do." It was so sweet, Bret had to open it. Sorry Abby, I will have to make it up to you another year!
Dad and his girlies.
We had a delicious cake from Nothing Bundt. If you haven't tried one, they are the best. I won't tell you how many candles, but I will tell you it was accurate!
He got them all out on his first try. Happy Birthday Bret, we love you!

Too Young for Boys!

Thursday, February 18, 2010
We were talking with Bella at dinner tonight and asking about her day at preschool. She told us it was one of the boy's birthday and he was her boyfriend. I asked if that meant just a friend who is a boy or someone she wanted to marry one day. She said maybe marry one day. I told her I thought she was too young to have a boyfriend and her response was, "Yeah." I guess that means mom's opinion officially does not count any longer!

Jumpin' Jacks

Friday afternoon and it is once again too cold to go outside. Dad suggested Jumpin' Jacks and off we went.

Bella and June at the top of the big slide, don't worry he helped her down.

Bella had no fear!

Daddy and his little ladies.
June and Mom bounced at the bottom of the slides too. What a great way to burn off energy on a cold afternoon!

Big Bed

Sunday, February 14, 2010
Our girls love to hang out in our bed.
Weekend mornings, they climb in and snuggle up.

Junie likes to watch a little Mickey Mouse.

I love how sweet these two are together.

Valentine Cousins

Saturday, February 13, 2010
We had Bret's family over for a Valentine/ Chinese New Year Party.
We started out trying to get a picture of all the cousins, this is the best we could do and we are missing a few!

You should try getting these three babies to smile at the same time!

The big girls had a great time dressing up!

Beautiful Lily is always a princess!

After a yummy dinner, we frosted sugar cookies. June found a friend in Aunt Janine- she let her eat as much frosting as she needed and understood the need to keep the blanket around!

Paul and Melia creating a masterpiece.

Holly is no dumbie, why bother with a cookie when you can just such the frosting straight in your mouth!
Bella's candy cookie
Lily's cookie had extra sprinkles!
Aunt Natalie joining in on the fun. Thanks everyone for coming and being our Valentine's! We love you!

Chinese New Year Valentine's

These little sweeties are my New Year Valentine's. It is fun to combine two of our favorite holidays!

Bowl Hat

Friday, February 12, 2010
June has always been a good eater, but she does have a couple of quirks. She likes her food in a bowl or a plate never just directly on her tray. She also must have silverware and will sit and ask for it until she gets it, even though chances are she is going to use her fingers to eat.

She also likes to be silly at mealtimes.

Look Mom, no hands!

Nothing is funnier than a bowl on your head!

Baby Bear

Thursday, February 11, 2010
Good thing the panda bear is my favorite animal!

Di-Di

I may have mentioned it before, but I feel like June's blankie deserves it's own post. You can just see it here in her lap. The blankie has become a very important part of our lives. June calls it her di-di and takes it everywhere. She has another one that is white and a spare hidden in the closet. She likes to feel both sides of it, and sometimes she will even put it against your cheek and say "Nice." Funny little bug!

Candy and Jewels

Wednesday, February 10, 2010
Our secret valentine has been leaving little presents at our house over the past week. Bella has tried really hard to figure out who it is, her number one guess is Grandma, and shortly after that is Lily. Tonight the girls found beautiful rings and candy necklaces.
June has her own unique method of testing to see if a jewel is fake.

Bella was very impressed with the size of her pink diamond.

Perfect gifts for two such fancy ladies!

Bubble Bath

Sunday, February 7, 2010
Because of her dry skin, June doesn't get bubble baths very often. She was a little nervous at first but pretty soon she was laughing and loving it.

Bella was right in on the action teaching her how to be silly!

Funny Bubble Babes!

Pillow Fluffer

Thursday, February 4, 2010
Bella loves valentine's day. She loves to make little treats and cards for everyone and leave them under their pillows. We usually start with secret valentine's mid-January and it gets full blown on February 1st. Yesterday, we were at the store and Bella picked out a treat for her dad. It promptly went under his pillow. At dinner, Bella said to Bret, "Dad, I was fluffing your pillow today and something about it felt not right. I think you better go check it out." It was so funny to see her figure out a way to tell her dad she had left him a treat. Nice to know someone is fluffing his pillow!

Box Fort

We had to get a new freezer. Instead of throwing away the box it came in, Bret brought it downstairs so the girls could have a fort.

He cut out windows for them and filled it with blankets and pillows.

June loved to peek in the windows!

They have had a great time decorating and playing in it. Hundreds of dollars on toys and hours of entertainment from a cardboard box!
