Happy Birthday Argh!

Thursday, February 21, 2008

Happy Birthday to Dad! Bella decided Dad wanted a pirate party this year and picked out all the decorations. I had to reign her in a little at the party store, but it was still quite the pirate party. She has been looking all over for a pirate shirt for Dad. A few weeks ago she asked the salesperson at Dillard's "Do you have anything that is cute with pirates on it for my Dad?" I had to walk away, I was laughing so hard. She was on the hunt for something with a lot of gold and silver glitter, but it wasn't to be found. She did find a shirt with skull and crossbones on it and that was good. We dresed everyone up like pirates and even Grandma got in on it. I think Dad had a pretty fun birthday!

Field Trip

Wednesday, February 20, 2008

Tuesday was another preschool field trip. Mom forgot so we went to school and then had to run home and get a Little Learner's shirt on and take off. Bella did not love the edu-center. It was a little dark and scary in the slide. Mom helped her climb to the top and go down the slide once, but couldn't manage it a second time. She was entertained by the store for a little while and dancing on the stage, but then back to the slide. Lucky for me, Sophie and Dominick helped her make it through a few more times before we had to go home.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Thursday, February 14, 2008
Bella and I spent Valentine's Day missing our Valentine. With Dad in D.C. it was a little lonely. We did get most of our Valentine's delivered and settled in for a pizza dinner and movie in Mom's bed! In the morning, after being dug out, we went to her preschool party. The best part was the dancing!

Snowy Morning

I could not believe all the snow I woke up to today. It was mostly just drifts, but it was so high. Bret is in D.C. so for the first time in my life I had to do the driveway! It was such hard work, I could barely push the snow blower. Luckily, just as I was about to give up and plead for mercy from one of my brother-in-laws, our great neighbor Steve came and took over. I never would have made it without him!

Day at the Museum

Friday, February 8, 2008

We spent the afternoon at the Children's Museum with Kelli and her kids Brittany and Ethan. We had such a good time. Bella loved the balls at the first and the house. I think her highlight was getting her face painted with butterflies! The battery on my camera was dead, so we will have to go back and take pictures next time. On the way out Bella found this fabulous mirror and had to have it. She had a great time decorating it. We stopped at Ben's and picked out cookies for Dad on the way home. Thanks for the great idea Kelli, we had fun and are excited toplan something for next month!

The Brother

Thursday, February 7, 2008
Bella seems to be fairly certain she is having a brother. I keep trying to push her away from this because I do not want her to be disappointed. The other day we were doing a little shopping at Gardner Village and a little boy came up to her. He was about 1, I would say. She looked at me and said "Mom, is this my brother." I told her no and she replied, "Oh, I really wanted a brother." You could just see the thought process, like this ws a good brother, can we take him home. I had to laugh and leave really quickly!

Dancing Queen

Tuesday, February 5, 2008

It was parent watch week at dance and Bella put on quite a show. She loves her dance class and especially her teacher Miss Jaime! I love the picture of her doing her jump!

Snow Day

Sunday, February 3, 2008

We woke up this morning to huge snow drifts. I don't know how much was snowe falling or snow blowing, but we have a ton of snow. Our backyard fence is covered about half way. It is almost a tunnel coming to our house. Bella was really excited to get into it and play.
