Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!
(We had to at least try it with the hat, it didn't last.)

My little flower fairy.
Tinkerbell, I had to convince Bella to put on the wings, because she is growing her own!
Ready to head out. I think we were the first ones out, but I wanted them back before it got too cold for June. Bella decided she wanted to make it to Alexa's house. The round trip is about a mile. After they brought June back, she and Dad started out. They made it! Bret had to carry her about half way, but they did it.

And check out the candy! I can remember working for hours for not nearly this much candy. As for Bella, she put it in the corner after and pretty much forgot about it. Another Halloween is over, hope yours was great!

Jack's

Remember how I said we had 20 pumpkins- here they are! (Minus one that Bella had decorated like a princess.) We decided to take the plunge and carve them all! The night before we hollowed them all out and today we have been carving them. Bret was the master of faces and I tried my hand at a few different designs.
Here they are before we had them lit. And now I think each one deserves to be shown, scroll down through the rest!
Faces by Bret!
Have to have a pirate!
More cute faces!
My little bat.
This was my favorite face.
Another cutie.
3 little kitty cats.
Scared ya!
Spooky house with some friends.
The guys on the front porch.
Bella's choice and my favorite, the Hoot. It was in the place of honor on a stand.
Witchie-poo
Starry Night
Scary guy
And a silly one. I think that is all of them. It was so much fun to have our walk all lit by pumpkins. We will have to do it again next year!

Witches Breakfast

Halloween Morning, Aunt Lauren arranged for us to have breakfast with the witches. Aunt Natalie is too cute to be a witch!
June was mostly interested in the food!
Bella thought it was scary!
Uncle Chris wins the best costume prize!
It was fun to walk around Gardner Village for a few photos after.
Most of the ones of June are her running away.
Bella was brave of all the witches around, just not the ones inside.

What a fun way to start the holiday!

Pick Me!

Friday, October 30, 2009
Even though we grew 18 pumpkins of our own this year, I insisted that we continue the tradition of going to the pumpkin patch. Just because we already have too many pumpkins doesn't mean we should break tradition, nor should we because it was drizzly and freezing. June was a little concerned about riding in the wagon at first. It took a little convincing from Big Sis and then she loved it!
Bella was happy to run around looking at everything.
June just wanted to stay in the wagon. Eventually she started looking around, but was mostly interested in picking up rocks, not pumpkins.
Bella know the drill, find your pumpkin and then pose!
You have to be able to pick it up if you want to take it home!
We found the picks of the patch!
June wanted a more wild ride, so she kept standing up in the wagon, silly girl! Tradition kept alive and now we have 20 pumpkins for Halloween! I can't wait!

School Halloween Party

Bella loved going to school in her costume for Halloween!

Cute little class!
She adores her teacher who is so wonderful! She loves school this year!

Mad Skills Baby!

We start them early at our house, playing on the computer.

June loves to click the mouse!
This is serious work with Daddy! (Doesn't everyone have a blankie with them when they work?)

Happy Birthday to Us!

Saturday, October 24, 2009
In case you are wondering, yes Bella's birthday goes on for days. It is hard for it not to being so close to mine. We decided to open presents together this year and try to make the celebrating a little more reasonable. (It didn't work, but at least we tried.) She wanted to open presents first thing in the morning.
Her favorite was the Scooby Team from Dad. Mom scored to, her favorite a pedicure!
After a lazy day, we headed out to dinner with Grandma Pattie and Grandpa Boyd. We let Bella choose the place, so it was Olive Garden. We had a fun night with lots of yummy food!
