No Teeth!

Monday, November 29, 2010
I neglected a very important event, Bella has lost her first two teeth! She was so excited about the first one and it was literally hanging by a string, but she wouldn't let anyone pull it, not for lack of trying. We were at my brother, Dan's has and he offered her the moon to pull it, but no go! The next morning on the way to school she was wiggling and out it came. No chance of anyone every being able to pull her teeth now! The tooth fairy was so pleased she left 5 gold coins!
The second tooth was very wiggly again and she accidentally swallowed it one night while we were driving home. After settling her down, Bella wrote her a note explaining what happened and invited her to rest in one of the fairy houses in her room. The tooth fairy still stopped by and even left a thank you note in the house she stayed in.

We Need a Little Christmas

Sunday, November 28, 2010
I love getting out Christmas with my two great helpers. We had everything out before so we could spend today decorating the tree!
Junie was very excited to see her ornament from last year and she promptly broke it. (Good thing for glue!)
Bella has a new favorite, a Scooby Doo ornament.
It was the first on the tree in a place of honor. It also talks so it needed to be within Bella's reach, but not Junie.
Sweet little thing, still loves her broken little bear!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thursday, November 25, 2010
Happy Thanksgiving.
This is my favorite picture to date of June.

Just after, she started another first, pulling faces for pictures!
This is the best one.
Bella
My girls always start out looking adorable! By the end of the night, I can't say that, but at least we started out looking good!
As soon as we were at Grandma's Junie ran to Grandpa. She has been looking forward to seeing him. Actually, she was hoping the night before that he would be dressed up as Scooby Dooby, but she must have forgotten to ask him.
After Grandpa, it was good to have some spoiling from Aunt Natalie. Bella ran off to find all the other kids and played and played all day. She loves spending time with her cousins!
Bret cooked the turkey and the stuffing. Talk about pressure, but he did an awesome job. I didn't even have to help, which is for the best because he truly is the chef in our family!
Junie finally received the treatment she thinks she deserves today. Uncle Matt cut up her food in little bites and fed it to her, her favorite way of eating. After that, she spent most of the day on Grandpa's lap getting plenty of snuggles!
My favorite picture from the day, Paul and Cooper in the middle of everyone, both sound asleep!
I hope your Thanksgiving was as wonderful as ours!

Our Feast

Sunday, November 21, 2010
On the Sunday before Thanksgiving, I always prepare and have our own little feast as a family. It is the only way I can justify hanging on to my china! Really, I just like to have the time with our girls. To prep for this, I started at the first of November asking everyone to write down one thing they were thankful for each night. We didn't make it every night, but we did quite a few. Junie was thankful for ladybugs every night. After that it was princesses, Tinkerbell, Marme and Par, and blankies. Bella had more varied answers that included owls, peace signs and Alex, her doll.
All ready for our dinner. I let everyone pick one thing for the feast. I chose spinach artichoke dip for the appetizer. Bret chose bbq sandwiches. Bella chose corn and Junie wanted M&M's.
It was a unique but wonderful feast! The best part, I was surrounded by what I am most grateful for, my wonderful family.

Snow!!!

It finally snowed! The girls were very excited to bundle up in their snow gear and head outside to help Dad shovel!
They peeked out...
Bella rushed right out into it.
Junie was a little nervous. She was excited to taste it.

Bella throwing snow balls (we have to work on packing them better!)
June was sure if she wanted to actually step in the snow.
She stayed right on the edge, touched it with her foot and then backed off.
With a little help from Mom, she trampled through the deep stuff.
She wouldn't let go of my hand until we made it to the cleared walk. Funny little thing.

Happy Winter!

Cute Enough?

Sunday, November 14, 2010
Ever Sunday after I finish getting the girls ready for church, I send them to find their Dad to see if they look cute enough. Of course, they always are and he wants to take their picture.
Bella has begun posing with a little bit of attitude.
And Junie follows suite.
Even so, I definitely think they are cute enough!

Makeover!

Tuesday, November 9, 2010
Bella received a very fun make-up kit from Lily for her birthday. She has been begging me to do make-overs and I came upstairs to find this...
We quickly moved them off my living room rug to the kitchen!

Junie patiently waited for her nails to be done.

Then a little purple eyeshadow!
Bella did her own eyes.
The final results, gorgeous!
And the most important thing happened today and I didn't even get a picture, Bella lost her first tooth! You can kind of tell in the picture above. It has been wiggling forever pretty close to hanging there. After a lot of people trying to convince her to let her pull it, she finally did it herself. We were on our way to school and she was wiggling and pop, out it came. She was very excited and ready for the tooth fairy!

Like Mother, Like Daughter

Tuesday, November 2, 2010
Junie has a established her own little night time routine. She needs two di-di's (her special blanket), if she only has one she says "More di-di." Then we move on to Minnie Mouse, sometimes she wants a specific one, but always the classic pink dressed one needs to be in bed with her. Then we give her books and no matter how many we start with, she needs just a couple more. Then, but the light of her night light, she looks at them until she falls asleep.
One more thing I don't want to forget, she has always loved to smell her blanket but now, she smells it and says "Smells like yummy or smells like pink."
