St. George part 2

Monday, June 28, 2010
After Zions, we did what Mom wanted to do, which was take the girls to the fountains at Town Square. We went here last year and the girls loved it. June was a little nervous about it, but loved her new bucket!
Bella jumped right in and made new friends all over the place.
Junie only liked this fountain if Daddy was holding her tight!
My cute girlies!
Bella's pick of the trip was to see Toy Story 3. She saved her Jessie shirt and had her Jessie doll ready to go. Unfortunately, we had to wait a bit for the show.
Bret picked up some airplanes and parachute men for the park while we hung out.

The airplane didn't work so hot.

The parachute guys were more of a hit. You may notice June's shirt says "Crabby" on it. That was because she was. She was a very grumpy baby. We discovered she had 4 teeth coming in so it was justified, but still made for a few long hours with the bubs.
We drove up beautiful Snow Canyon on evening, but only Bella was willing to get out for a picture. One of the real highlights for me was seeing Tarzan at Tuacahna. It was a blast. Junie loved all the monkeys. Bella was a little nervous to be up the canyon after dark, but eventually calmed down.
And of course, we swam,
and swam.
and swam! Thank you Mom and Dad. We had a great time and can't wait to go again! We love you!

St. George and Zions

Thursday, June 24, 2010
After a few mishaps along the way, the biggest being the compressor on our a/c going out in Nephi, we made it to St. George for a few days of vacation with my parents. In case you are wondering, yes we drove without the air all the way to St. George. My girls are serious troopers. We grabbed a bag of ice and kept feeding it to them to keep them cool. They didn't complain the whole way. We were really lucky and found a place that could fix it the next day for only $850!
The first day was Bret's day and we headed up to Zion's first thing. I hadn't been there since I was in high school and it was as beautiful as I remembered!
We rode the tram to the top and started with the Riverside walk up to the Narrows.

Everything was green and beautiful.
Bella loved walking and talking with Grandma and Grandpa. I was a little worried about Junie in her chair, but she loved riding along on my back.
Bella loved to stop on these little benches along the way.
Can you believe all the trees?
Our little family.
In the river at the start of the Narrows. Bella wanted to head up in the water and would have gone all day. Junie said "NO."
Bella and Dad headed up a little ways and loved it. We stopped for a little lunch and wanted to try to hike to Emerald Pools but again, Junie said "No." I can't believe we haven't been here more and are looking forward to our next visit!

Working at the Car Wash!

Tuesday, June 22, 2010
It's an important summer chore, helping Dad wash the car!
Bella loved it and showed June the most important aspects, super soapy sponges to throw at the car and Dad!
June loved get into the action which all ended in a big water fight!

Diving Lessons

Monday, June 21, 2010
Bella is quite a fish and this year she wants to learn everything she can swim related. I love this picture of Uncle Paul teaching her how to dive. She never quite got it, but he sure tried to help her. She was brave enough to retrieve toys out of the deepest part of the pool today, so I was pretty proud!
After enough belly flops, Bella rode around on Bulls Eye!

We Love This Guy!!!

Saturday, June 19, 2010
Happy Father's Day! We surprised our dad with breakfast in bed!
Bella brought the most important part of the meal!
Junie and Dad looking at a little book we made him.
These girls love daddy! I do too! I feel so lucky to be married to my best friend, a wonderful man and fantastic father!
All dressed up and ready for church. Daddy picked out their dresses.

After dinner, we headed up to see my parents.
We had yummy snow cones and headed outside to play and play!
Grandma and Grandpa pulled out the jump rope for the kids to try.
Becca made certain the rope was in the right place, things need to be just so!
Bella loved it!
Meg turned out to be a pro at the jump rope. (Who is Meg you ask, stay tuned!!!) I will spare you the pictures of me trying to jump rope, but I have proof, I can still do it!

We love this Grandpa Guy too!

Party at Par's

Friday, June 18, 2010
We had a fun summer kick-off, father's day and birthday party at my grandparents house. Almost all of my cousins were there which made it especially fun. We really missed those that didn't make it! In honor of the many years we spent having fun in Oakley, I had the girls wear their cowboy hats!
Junie loves any excuse to wear a hat!
Bella's disappeared minutes after this picture. She was having too much fun playing with all the kids, especially little Anna.

She was thrilled to see Sam as usual.

Katie and Jared created a mini cold stone for everyone which was awesome. Here are my mom and Katie scooping it up! Too bad I didn't get any more pictures, (send some to me if you have them!) We had a pinata for the kids and lots of fun just visiting. I hope this becomes another family tradition!

Pool Time

Thursday, June 17, 2010
The pool is officially open! (Now if the weather will only cooperate!) So if you see us and it looks like we haven't washed our hair in days, just now, we are headed to the pool later!

Swimming Lessons

Wednesday, June 16, 2010
We signed Bella up for swimming lessons this year. The little fish loved them. The best parts:
diving for toys
the diving board!

The Suit

Tuesday, June 15, 2010
For us, a big part of summer is the suit, swimming suit that is! We find that you need at least 4 or 5 with all the swimming we do. Which is fine with Junie who wants to wear one every day!
The minnie is her favorite, complete with matching hat, glasses, flip flops and coverup!
Bella just likes as many pairs of glasses as possible. Essential for any famous movie star!
What funny girls!

Funny Friends

Monday, June 14, 2010

For Bella, summer has been all about playing as much as possible! She and Taeya had a great time, with their own restaurant. They made their own pizza for lunch and then created a menu and dinner for our families. Everything turned out a little different than planned, but I guess that is half of the fun!

The Performance

Thursday, June 10, 2010
Bella is already for her performance. Sometimes I can't believe how big this girl has gotten! She did a great job and loves to be on the stage in front of everyone!

After the performance with all her flowers. She is certainly a star!

Melia was a pretty baby!

Junie loved seeing "Sissy" at the show!
