Uncle Dan

We were surprised when June went to Uncle Dan and sat with him on the swing. She is such a Mama's girl, but she had a great time with her Uncle and cousins!

Rain, Rain, Go Away

Bella has been loving all this rain, it has given her plenty of chances to use her umbrella!

Friday in American Fork

We headed up American Fork Canyon for little hike Friday afternoon. it was a beautiful place and we loved just looking out the windows on the drive up. Bella gets very excited to see all the trees and the river by the road.
We loaded June up in her backpack and headed up the trail. She loved to ride and laughed and babbled to Dad the whole time.

Bella was a great hiker running along. (Now if we can just get her to watch where she is going and not trip so much!)

We made it up just past this aspen grove before it started to rain. It looked to really get us soaked so we decided it was best to turn back.

Bella did a great job scouting the path. She really kept running ahead, jumping on a rock and looked all around to make certain we were still on the path.

Down at the lake, she found a great stick and was trying to do a little fishing. (I guess we need Treavor to take her for real sometime!) It was a beautiful day and especially nice to take a quick dip in the pool on the way home!

Summer's Here!

How do we know it is summer? The pool is open! We spent the morning swimming with some friends, but after we decided we needed to head back with Dad. June has decided she loves the pool. She laughed and splashed like crazy. It got to the point I could hardly see I had so much water in my eyes from her.
Dad tried to teach her how to float. I love the legs sticking up. I guess we will need to work on relaxing in the water.

The girls loved playing motorboat with Dad! A great start to what looks to be a fun and wet summer!

Memorial Day

We headed up to visit the graves in Ogden first thing in the morning on Memorial Day. We hadn't every made the trip, so it was neat to be with Grandpa DeYoung. June played with Grandpa Clyde for minute before she pulled her usual I only like Mom and Dad routine.
Bella loved helping to clean the headstones and placing the flowers.

Bella was very serious when she put the most special pink flowers on Grandma June's grave. It was a pretty neat morning to learn more about Bret's family.

After, we headed to my parents house for a great bbq and play. June spent some quality time swinging, which she loves!

Lily's Big Day

Today was Lily's birthday party and ballet performance. We had a great time playing pin the tutu on the ballerina and breaking the pinata. We especially loved watching Lily be a graceful bird in her dance performance. We love you Lily!

St. George

Bret headed to Austin to golf with his dad this weekend, so I headed to St. George with his Mom and sisters. It was nice to just be a long for the ride, though I can't believe how much stuff a baby requires! We stayed with Chris's good friends Jo and Jim. They have a beautiful home and were so nice. Bella loved every minute, especially sleeping in her princess tower. Here she is making delicious chocolate waffles for breakfast!
This was June's first experience in the swimming pool. She wasn't too pleased. I am hoping it was just too loud for her. She warmed up to it a bit by the end, but we are going to have to work on this!

Bella of course jumped right in and started having a ball!

We stopped at this great Splash Park that Janine told us about. The kids loved it! Bella loved running and playing in all the water. She did not stop the whole time. She would sit on this rock and pose like a mermaid and then...

Jump into the water to get her fins wet.

The funniest moment was when she told me sitting on the rocks gets sand in her bum, but that's okay because I just lay down in the water and it gets it out. This place is a must visit if you are in St. George, just make sure you wear clothes you don't mind with a little red tint!

Happy Mother's Day. We had a fun afternoon with Bret's family.

What is it about me that wants to dress my daughters alike? I just love it when they match. June saw these jammies and thought they were so funny so we had to have them. She still laughs every time I show them to her. These two girls got very silly as soon as we got the camera out, but this is my favorite shot!

The Bike

Bella loves her new bike and is very excited to have Dad help her every night after work. She is starting to get the hang of it, but needs just a little help still!

Me Too!

Not wanting to be left out, June joined Dad and Bella in their nightly ritual of milk and cookies. She loved it, but I am not quite ready for her crumbs in the bed too!
