The Zoo

With the weather being so nice and Bella off track, we have tried to be outside and take advantage as much as possible. We decided to head up to the zoo. Bela had a great time with all the animals.
June officially hates the zoo. She already is afraid of animals but this trip just sent her right over the edge. First thing we ended up in the gorilla house. She is always afraid of the statue outside, so we took pains to avoid it. We headed in and the gorilla was sitting at the window waiting for us. He saw Junie in the wagon and puckered his lips at her. She went from nervous to out of control scared, screaming "I don't like it!" and trying to climb out of the wagon and get away as soon as possible. I finally managed to get her calm and back in the wagon when we walked by the orangutan and he was at the window too. that was it for this little girl! Nothing was going to fix this visit to the zoo.

After we gave up on animals we tried the carousel a few times.

This finally got a few smiles out of her, but she was bugged there wasn't a seat belt to tie around her. So that was it, our last visit to the zoo for a really long time!
