For June's first birthday picture, we went up to Albion Basin for pictures in the wildflowers. They turned out beautiful! These are just a few of my avorites, we literally had too many to choose from. There are many more on Bret's fliker if you are interested!

Uncle Dan got Bella to try swimming without her lifejacket! The goggles were still a must!

This has been a summer of firsts for June, and today was no exception. Her first shake. She loved it! (So did Dad's shirt!)
The pagoda was a hit. 
For the grand finale, Bella chose the princess tiara firework. (I had to ask Bret if he ever imagined he would be buying fireworks with a crown on them!)
It actually was quite an impressive show!
Since we are trying to hike as much as possible this summer, we decided on an impromptu hike to Donut Falls this evening. It was a quick little trip up the canyon and to the falls. Bella loved them once we got there. She wanted to climb through the water all the way to the top, but Bret stopped her, just a little too dangerous for 4 year olds. 
She did find many places where fairies live along the way. Her own fairy wings are coming in very nicely!
June just likes to be along for the ride! 
We went to the temple open house first thing in the morning. The new temple is beautiful, especially the celestial room. Bret and I have enjoyed the opportunities we have had to volunteer to help with the open house. We dressed the girls in their fanciest dresses and took them to see it. Bella was very impressed by the inside, especially the chandeliers. I am so excited to have this temple so close to our home.

June thinks floats are a really bad idea! Especially if they have a creepy looking kid on them!
We calmed her down enough to see the Princess Bee that Bella loved.
Best of all was to see a friend from Bella's primary class. It was a cute way to see the floats, I'll probably do it again next year, especially because it means I don't have to sleep on the street to save a good viewing spot!
After our visit we headed to a new little park where the old rodeo grounds used to be. June tried the swings with Grandma Chris. 
Bella tried the slide. We didn't stay long, it was too hot and there is one problem with Oakley playgrounds, no trees. It is a beautiful area and I can't wait for our next chance to pass through again. 
Look at my good helper! Reminds me of her sister at the same age, what do you think? I am hopeful that in the future, there will never be dishes in the sink!
Yes, the holiday was a month ago, but it took us this long to get everyone better and ready on time for church so we could get a picture. And of course I took it so it is not the greatest. We love you Daddy! I don't know if any girls have ever adored their father more than mine do. They jump the minute they hear him walk in the door. June gets very upset if he doesn't come over and give her a kiss first thing. I can't tell you how many times Bella has come in the morning, "Where's Dad?" When I tell her he is at work, she usually says something like "I guess I will just go back to bed." or "The fun is gone today." You are the best Dad ever!
This little one was stuck in another window well, and Bret had to help it out. It was getting late in the day and I was worried about the poor little thing. The next morning we found it on my back porch. It just sat there, not afraid of us at all. Bella went out and would have touched it if Bret hadn't stopped her.
They are all gone now so I guess they learned and flew away, but I loved to watch them. I hope we get birds again next year. 
We spend this Friday doing a little hike up to Cecret Lake. Lucky Bret and Cooper get to hike with all these ladies! 
Bella was pretty excited to find snow along the trail.

Bella was very excited to hike in her canyon today. She was a trooper and really pushed it. She was thrilled to see the "fairies making the lake sparkle!"
